A US federal jury found Braden John Caroni, CEO of the SafeMoon project, guilty of fraud, money laundering and conspiracy.
The maximum punishment is up to 45 years in prison

- Instead, Caroni siphoned millions into his accounts using a chain of anonymous wallets

Caroni is accused of deliberate deception for personal enrichment
